There are a number of different types of permits. Let's keep In mind that permits are the way to insure that your project is done in accordance with any building codes that may apply to your type of building. All permits are issued by the city or parish you plan to do your project within.
In all parishes within the state of Louisiana you will need a set of plans drawn up by an architect for new construction. And in most parishes you will also need a set of plans drawn up by an architect for an addition. In both cases you will need a licensed architect to submit to the city you plan to build in for what's called plan review. Once your plans are approved (pending any code issues) you will get your permit.
This is a touchy question. The cost can vary from type of structure to location. There is no standard cost to build. GTI is committed to providing the highest level of services for the lowest cost possible. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
